Commercialism, Capitalism, & Communism

Which one of these is not like the other? And what is the perfect solution for the basis of society?
Welcome back to your daily dose of me rambling. Today, we (I) discuss how one of the pillars of society is not perfect, and provide a great segway into tomorrow's topic, privacy vs. security (or freedom vs. security, whatever you prefer.) I don't claim to have the answers, but putting a bit of my own thoughts into the subject shouldn't hurt.
A large portion of our current economy relies on our use of capitalism, while other countries that may use a different system still carry many capitalist ideas. The idea of "be the best, and you will rise to the top," in other words. One issue with this system is that for one to rise to the top, many others have to fall. However, this does lead to a form of self governance, the only problem is that those with more capital have more power. One issue with communism is the opposite of this, as to put every citizen on a level playing ground, strong internal government has to be used to regulate.
So what is the right answer? Anarchism? How to you cater a way of economics & lifestyle that needs to be regularized to a society so different on a person by person basis? As previously stated, I don't really know the answer to this, but in such a polarized political climate, not much change is likely to happen anyway.
